pool

This past Monday, we met with Chad from Sunsplash Pools and Spas, and today they started digging our soon to be inground pool. I had no idea things would be moving so quickly. We went with a saltwater pool, so we don't have to use chlorine to treat the water. It will be nicer for skin, hair, and overall health, I think. We are also putting in a solar heater. A bigger up front expense, but kinda green, and no future heating costs. The boys are thrilled, which is pretty much why we are doing it. I'm pretty darn excited myself! Pretty big expense, but will be much enjoyed for many years. We should be able to swim by mid to late March!!!

Yes, that pool will be an expense but well worth it especially in the Summer.

I love the Cactus pics. Have you heard the story yet on how they are born ?

I don't remember the details but an amazing sequence of evens has to happen that includes a seed being released, then not just any bird, but a particular type of bird has to eat the seed, then that bird has to digest the seed in a protected area - like one of those prickly bushes, then I think it has to rain like within a few days - which in the desert is not likely. The sequence continues...

If you go on one those Hummer desert tours they will tell you all about it.

In the rainbow picture a few postings back, is that your front yard ? Looks quite large !!

Any more skiiing lately ?

Wow. I'm gonna have to look that up and get the rest.
Yes, that's our front yard. Our property is a pie shape, so the front is much wider than the back.
We were gonna go skiing tomorrow, but it's supposed to be snowing, so I think we'll wait till Sat. when the sun will be shining and the road up the mountain will be a little cleared.
