First Sign of Fall

I noticed these red leaves on our Pecan tree the other day. Fall is coming! Instead of feeling dread and sadness to see summer leave, I'm feeling kind of relieved that some cooler weather is on the way. Today is overcast with a few little sprinkles. Only a high of 76! It will be back into the high eighties in a couple days, but this time of year it's only that temp for a few hours in the afternoon. Still got some pool time left.
The chickens follow me around in the yard, hoping for treats. Their favorite is bread of any kind. They always get the leftover crusts from Doug's lunch.

Mr. Rooster is crowing away. The other white one in the background is a rooster too, but the silky is dominant. We average four eggs a day now, so a couple of the hens must be laying every other day.
